i think that south central is better now then before because it sounded bad back then at least now the crack epidemic  is not that bad any more.south central is good because you learn a lot from living around here and you learn from your mistakes.there’s also a lot of people that have done many bad things but have learned from there mistakes and try to help the younger kids not to follow their foot steps.

the riots had given south central a bad reputation because of all the bad history around here.another thing that might have made this place a bad neighborhood to live in is all the gangs around here and all the drugs that kill and brake up many families.south central has also had some criminals that have given this place and have done stuff that made south central known.

one event that has made south central a bad place is freeway ricky ross hes had a big impact on south central.he sold crack and had many people that were willing to sell their children.they would try to sell them just so they could buy some more drugs and thats what messed up the community.he also caused many people to start stealing because they needed more money to buy more and more crack.

the last and important thing that made south central a what it is today is all the gangs.they have done the most damage around here because they have killed and hurt many families.they also recruited new and innocent lives just to get more members to help run the gang.they are also the people that do most of the drugs around south central and do most of the crimes.

i think that south central will change in the future because now to this day the police is coming down hard on people.they do many searches and check may people so they can bring justice to the community.the gangs should go back to protecting the community rather then messing it up more.

The method i would chose would be to re-read and review the questions because its more likely to work better.If you read everything all over again it will stay in your mind for a while and the answers would come to your head quick

4.Social Control Theory is when you grew up around people the know the rules of society you will learn to act like them and follow the rules

5.Deviance is when you don’t follow the rules of society and you act bad

6.its when people learn how to act by the environment your raised in

7.they learn it from friends that either do it or just tell them to do it

8.no it doesnt i chose to do what i want to do without anyone telling me

9.it explains why other people end up being deviant

10.they are either trying to get  money or respect from others

11.they dont do any work at school and do not follow the rules of society

12.successful or not they will continue to do the right thing

13.they will do anything to become successful if its legal or not

14.they do not believe the rules are good

15.they dont really care if there successful or not they dont really do much

16.they believe the rules right now are bad and not really god for our society

17.it was a test were you put a car in a rich and poor neighborhood and see how it turns out after a while

18.they were both beat up and messed up and all destroyed

19.it shows that no matter where you leave a great car they neighborhood will still mess it up even more

20.theres lots of examples here in south central lots of buildings that are all full of graffiti

21.if your told your deviant you will believe it and become deviant

22.they will all lead bigger and worse things even if you start with something small

23.most parents now will say that to other kids and they will become deviant due to that and cops sometimes say that and other people out of the community say that its bad here and then we will believe it

its when something is not taken care of and that area starts to get worse everyday.

its called broken window theory because everything around it is always broken or all messed up.

when they leave a car in a certain area or neighborhood and just let people start doing all they want to it and then everyone starts to tag all over it.

there was a little auto shop that was all tagged up and destroyed and was not well taken care of.

where i live there is alley that is always getting tagged on and gets vandalized but some of the art in that alley is really good even though theres lots of trash.

testimonial technique:when they use famous people to advertise there product

Latin Lover:he is often seen as the player that gets all of the girls

Bandido/Cholo:seen as a person with a big hat that has a gun

male buffoon:it is a Latin male that is seen as funny but dumb

Mammy:she is often shown as a loud person

White male hero:he is always shown as a person that saves the day

Buck/Brute:he is shown as a gangster

Jezebel:is know for always showing her body to get things

One thing i learned from this semester is that any leader should be ale to fight for their people.They would also be willing to die for their people .They should also protest no matter who or what the problem is.They also have to make sure they treat their people with respect.The events that taught me about leadership were helping my auntie when she was sick,showing my friend how to draw,and when i take care of my younger brother and sister.

One event that made me feel like a leader was when i took care of my younger brother and sister.It was pretty boring because they were just talking and eating and i had to clean up after them.I had to try to calm them down because they just didn’t leave me alone.

Another event that taught me about leadership was when showed my friend how to do a certain drawing he wanted to draw.But he couldn’t do it so i told him to try something else.But it turned out that he wasn’t made for drawing not everyone is.

Another event that helped me be more like a leader is when i helped my Aunt.I helped her with some cleaning but it was boring.I still stayed to help because she needed my help so i also helped with my little cousin because she was crying a lot.

One way i will show leadership is by the way i will treat my friends and family.Being a leader isn’t easy you wil have to be equal t everyone of your supporters or else they might try tpo harm you in any way.I will also like to be just like pancho villa because they helped lower class Mexican’s so they would be able to eat good food.If i were to pick the best leader i will pick MLK because of him none of this would have ne er happened.

I think that Apartheid was worse because despite the fact that they had a little bit more rights than the people in segragraction.Apartheid had harder lives for the workers and children growing up.They also had to live in a messed up houses and they didn’t have as much food.Apartheid seemed worse then segragration because in Apartheid they died from guns.I think that it was the same because they both had bad leaders that treated the people bad.So thats why they both fought back against the whites.They both had a few numbers of supporters on there side.They would protest for many equal rights.Besides in Apartheid more people died then in Segragration.I think Patrick was a great leader because he helped out his neighborhood a lot.He had a soccor team for the kids and that helped them get out of trouble.He also joined the ANC because of the way they treated him.Then he started to attack back at the whites.That proved he was a strong leader.
